I am happy to announce that I Met with the Borough Council's Police committee on Friday, November 23, 2001. The Manheim Borough Police Department K-9 Unit will continue to stay in service.
We clarified issues as to finances and expectations of the unit and have come to a resolution.
On a personal note, I would like to thank everyone who got involved in this issue, and showed support. The community rallying together got all parties involved to open lines of communication and come to a resolution in a timely manner.
I would also like to express my appreciation to the Manheim Borough Councils Police Committee and Mayor Keener for meeting with me and discussing the financial issues and expectations of our K-9 Unit.
